The Department offers its police services for private or special events within the Village. This is called extra-duty employment and is subject to approval by the Chief of Police or his designee.
The current hourly rate is $100.00 per hour (per officer), with a two-hour minimum. Additionally, there is a minimum 30-minute travel charge per officer, per event.
Not-for-profit organizations are not charged for the first two hours (i.e. one officer for two hours or two officers for one hour); however, the rate for subsequent hours is $75.00 per hour for the first event. Second or subsequent events are billed at $100.00 per hour.
Events held on Village Holidays are billed an additional $35.00 per hour (per officer).
